Joe DavisFrom the time he was five years old pretending that a tennis raquet was his guitar until today, Joe has loved music and the business of music. His experiences range from Disc jockey to lead guitar player in several travelling bar bands, side musician in wedding/social bands, private music teacher, street corner busker, and director in a junior high school band. His latest project, The Davis Brothers Band, actually had it's beginnings in the early 70's when he and Danny first met Luc.

Joe's musical influences are a mixture of classic rock, southern rock, blues and country and that is evident in his playing. Grand Funk, Santana, Allman Brothers, Charlie Daniels, Eric Clapton, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Ricky Scaggs and Alabama, count among his favourites. Listen for those influences to come out in the songs that the band does. His most inluential local artist is Billy Joe Green, who truly turned Joe onto the blues.

The 80's were the years when Joe thought he'd first try his hand making a living playing music and did so for about three years. Two of those years he played lead guitar with Passing Lane – a four-piece country rock / southern rock band. Over the last ten years or so, Joe has teamed up with Luc and Danny and a fine singer, Niel Keep and together they called themselves Backspin and they would emerge every six or nine months or so to do a wedding, social or anniversary.
Currently, Joe is a math teacher in Winnipeg's North End and he specializes in adult education.

Dan DavisDanny, our bass player, is the younger of the Davis Brothers. He is excited about the current reunion with Joe and Luc. He first started playing bass when he was about 16 years old when Joe needed a bass player and thought, “What bettter guy for the job than my own brother?” The audience appreciates his personality as it comes out on stage – sort of a next-door-neighbour kind of person people would love to get to know.

In the 80's Danny played and travelled with The Walsh Twins – an Elvis tribute show, touring mainly Alberta and Saskatchewan. That group morphed into a very impressive four-piece band, Survivor, fronted by Lennie Howell, one of the finest singer/lead guitarists on the prairies.
After a while, Danny settled down into family life and has been doing the 'blue-collar' duty. Once in a while he'd get together with Joe, Luc and Joe's brother-in-law, Niel Keep to do a wedding anniversary or a social. That band went by the name Backspin.

Danny loves being on stage and loves his audience.  We invite you to share a story and a laugh with him when you see him.

Dan plays a G & L bass and uses a 450 watt Marshall stack.

Lee was born and raised in South-western Ontario. Gospel and Soul music of the 1960’s were his major influences. Being the 7th of 13 children singing was one of the few affordable delights in his humble home. It wasn’t until he started singing in Church that he truly found his voice. Lee states that he would be as happy singing in front of 100 believers as 100,000 who just like to hear him sing.
